Step back in time during the Richfield Historical Society’s annual Richfield History Walking Tours, held from 1–2 PM each Sunday in October (October 4, 11, 18, and 25). Our narrators will lead leisurely, approximately one-mile walks with one-hour talks. On October 4, meet at Fairview Cemetery on Brecksville Road, north of State Route 303, to learn about Revolutionary War veteran John Farnam. On October 11, meet at West Richfield Cemetery on Broadview Road, north of State Route 303, to hear about Revolutionary War veteran Elijah Welton. On October 18, meet at the Society’s Museum (3907 Broadview Road) to take a half-mile tour west on W. Streetsboro Road to view and learn about the beautiful century homes located along the way. On October 25, meet at the Museum to take a tour that will go north on Grant Street to High Street and then south on Broadview Road to view and learn about more century homes.
On Tuesday, October 20 from 7-8 PM at Fellowship Hall, John Burke (John Burke's Living History) will present "The Real Story of the First Thanksgiving."
On Thursday, November 5 from 7-8 PM at the Richfield United Church of Christ (4340 W. Streetsboro Road), Gerry Nemeth will present “Cavs Miracle in Richfield - 1976 Season.” Relive the magic of the Cleveland Cavs and their 1975-76 "Miracle in Richfield" season with Gerry Nemeth and author Roger Gordon. Take a trip down memory lane with all that made that season special.
On Sunday, November 15 from 2-3 PM at Fellowship Hall, Dr. Gary Domanick will present "The Importance of Remembering our Vital WWII History".
