Veterans History Project

In partnership with The American Folklife Center of The Library of Congress, the Richfield Historical Society is proud to announce our participation in an exciting project to honor our veterans by recording their memories and experiences in serving our country.

The objective of the Veterans History Project is to interview veterans who currently reside in Richfield Village or Richfield Township, or who were residents of the Village or Township at the time of their service, and to record their experiences and memories using audio and/or video, which will then be sent to the Library of Congress to create a permanent record, along with other veteran's stories from all over America.

The interviews will begin in the first quarter of 2008, and will continue as long as there are veterans willing to share their stories, focusing on the following eras:

1. Richfield Veterans and/or spouses of World War II.

2. Richfield Veterans and/or spouses of the Korean War.

3. Richfield Veterans and/or spouses of the Vietnam War.

If you are a veteran or spouse, please consider participating. If you know someone who is a veteran or spouse, please tell them about this project and encourage them to participate.

We are proud of our veterans and urge all who can to contact us to schedule their interview. For more information or to schedule an interview, please visit us at the Museum, call 330-659-0336, or email us at information@richfieldohiohistoricalsociety.org.

Thank you for your service to our country!
