The Richfield Historical Society has commissioned a custom-designed woven throw to commemorate the 2009 Bicentennial of Richfield. It is available in Navy Blue, Hunter Green, and Maroon. It is 100% cotton, machine washable, colorfast and preshrunk. (PAGE DOWN TO SEE ALL THE COLORS.)

Featured Historical Sites include:
NEWTON HOUSE - Built in about 1820 by John Newton, the original house was square with a fanlight window. Later the East Richfield town meeting/school house, originally located behind the Newton house, was moved and attached to the south side. The house is located on Brecksville Road.
FIRST BRICK HOUSE - A station on the Underground Railroad, this house was built in 1830 by Capt. John Bigelow. Located on Broadview Road, the house was built with timber cut from the farm and bricks fired on site.
ELLIS HOUSE - The first framed hotel in the area was built in 1830 at the corner of Streetsboro and Brecksville Roads. The hotel was important to a growing community, serving as the stagecoach stop, post office and a dance hall before being divided into shops.
FELLOWSHIP HALL - Built in 1838 by the Baptist Society, the building has serves as the church for several denominations, the Richfield Library, and since 1940 the Township has owned Fellowship Hall.
OCTAGON HOUSE - This unique eight-sided home, built in 1894 by Alonzo Chandler, is located on Streetsboro Road (Route 303), at the junction of Streetsboro and Southern Roads.
PHELPS & JACKSON BLACKSMITH SHOP - One of the best remaining examples of locally fired bricks, the blacksmith shop was built in 1870 at the corner of Streestboro and Broadview Roads. Since the days of the local smithies, the building has served as the Post Office and home for a variety of shops.
OLD TOWN HALL AND TOWN HALL BELL - Built in 1883, the largest meeting room and stage in Richfield, as well as the former center for township business, boasts beautiful tin ceilings and a balcony. Presently it is the home of the Richfield Historical Society. The bell was cast in 1884 by the Jones Troy Bell Foundry Co. in Troy, N.Y. It hung in the Old Town Hall belfry until the 1950s, and now stands in front of the new Town Hall.
FEDERATED CHURCH - When fire leveled a church built in 1832, the Federated Church was built across the street from the Ellas House in East Richfield. Stained glass windows from the church now hang in the Old Town Hall.
RICHFIELD SCHOOL AND RICHFIELD SCHOOL BELL - Cast in 1888 by the Buckeye Bell Foundry, Van Payne & Taft, Cincinnati, the bell started calling students to the "new" Richfield School in 1917.
THE INN AT WEST RICHFIELD - Boasting Richfield's finest ballroom, the Inn was built by L.P. Ellas in 1885. Good food, good fellowship and communities meetings continue in this large, handsome building.
KIRBY WATER WHEEL - Before electricity came to Richfield, James Kirby built a water wheel to supply his home and shop. The Kirby Vacuum Sweeper inventor's unique home and wheel is now part of the Girl Scout Camp.
BRUSHWOOD BOULDER - A 1930 monument to Charles F. Brush, whose 272-acre farm became Brushwood Park.
RICHFIELD FIRE DEPARTMENT - Guarding Richfield since 1934, the Historical Society honors the gallant volunteers who have so selflessly served the residents of Richfield.
